How to track Department Name changes?

Summary:

Hi team,

There are 3 missing departments that I am unable to find now in our latest copy of our prod environment. However, in our 1 yr old env copy of prod, these departments are still there and Active.

From what I understand, the system won't allow us to permanently delete a Department and we can make it only Inactive.

We're expecting these 3 departments to be Active, however I cannot find them (either using Active & Inactive status). With this, I am thinking that it has been possibly renamed through a Change request that's handled by another team.

Do you know where to track these changes in Department name?
