OSMH: Managed Instance Fails to Download Packages with Error "Status code: 502"

SYMPTOMS

The OSMH managed instance is registered with the Management station but the Management station has not been synchronized with the software sources to its local file system. For this reason, the packages are not locally available in the management station. So when a managed instance tries to install a package in such scenario, the management station will act as proxy to the OS Management Hub and will be able to serve the package request.

In this case, the managed instance is not able to download the packages with the following error:
