Possible to configure termination approval workflow?

Summary:

We are looking to create a workflow in our system for terminations to eliminate the need for paperwork. Our desired workflows would be as follows:

Resignations:

Employee submits resignation:

  1. Employee submits resignation via Me>Resignation Quick Action
  2. Resignation is routed to Line Manager for approval
  3. Once LM approves, resignation is routed to HR to view details and approve
  4. Once HR approves, resignation notification with details sent to Payroll Team

HR submits resignation on behalf of employee:

  1. HR submits resignation on behalf of employee via My Client Groups>Termination Quick Action
  2. Resignation is routed to Line Manager for approval
  3. One approved, resignation notification with details sent to Payroll Team
