Transaction Notifications - Regression Testing

When conducting regression testing, part of our testing parameters is to verify that notifications for transactions are sent to the appropriate HR Functional leaders. So, as an example, one of the testing scenarios might be having a manager submit a hourly rate change for a direct report. We validate that the transaction goes through the apropriate approval channels(to HR partner) and that payroll/comp team gets a bell icon notification. The only way we know to to validate that the notification generated is to login to the payroll/comp team's account in our test environment and check for the bell icon.
