Is there a way to override the Public Holiday on June 28th so that they will not get paid

Hi team,

We have implemented Work Schedule Management so we can update weekly schedules for our non fulltime employees.
With this, we have created an Unpaid Absence Plan (Unpaid Leave Reading Week) for our employees who should not be getting paid during Reading Week (June 23-29). However, we have Employee Appreciation Day (set up as Public Holiday) on June 28th.
We have discovered that the employees who are scheduled to work on June 28th are receiving pay.
Is there a way to override the Employee Appreciation Day on June 28th so that they will not get paid?

Please suggest.

Regards
