Default DFF value for Only Terminated Employees

Hi team,

we are looking for a way through which we can default the value for a DFF, on the manager work relationship page.

Based on one of the client requirement , we have defaulted the Work relationship DFF attribute3 value (End Shift Time ) to 4:00 PM at segment level however it is defaulting it for all employees (including active employees) Our requirement is to default it only for Terminated employees.

can we restrict the defaulting only for Terminated employees and not for active employees.
Since redwood is coming into picture now so we can't choose Autocomplete option to achieve the same.
