Unable to keep the employee Number field as blank when moving candidate to pending worker stage.

Hi Team

We have set the employee number generation as manual but still, the employee number is generated when a candidate is converted from ORC, Candidate to the pending worker.

The business team wants to keep the blank field for the person number.

Please let me know how to keep blank fields for employee Numbers. And also please let me know is this system is functionality.
