Is it possible to reverse/restore Candidate Profile that were wrongly Merged

Candidate profile that was already been hired was wrongly merged with a candidate in Offer phase. Incidentally both the candidates have the share name. Candidate profile that has been hired, does not have an active profile.
- Can the hired candidate's profile be restored?
2. If at all, the hired candidate's file cannot be restored, is there an workaround for the candidate file be made active ?
3. Can the candidate's Offer still be sent for approval/Extended even if the wrongly merged profile cannot be restored?
