Send an alert to a specific employee

Hello,

Is there a way to send a notification created with alert composer only to a specific user? We have created a notification that sends an email (to employees) every time a mandatory assignment is made. We would need to test it in a production environment without it being sent to the entire company population. Is there a specific filter that we can use? Is there another way to do it?
