ADFDI Create Journal Sheet does not allow Decimal values in DFF

While entering journals in spreadsheet, if we try to enter the DFFs which are created as Number values are entered, and the values within are entered in DECIMALS 9e.g. 0.12) then the ADFDi does not load

DFF> 0.12.12.23. . .
Error> The context and attribute values don't form a valid descriptive flexfield for Journals - Journal Entry Lines. (GL-780780)

Had this been 12.1223. . . it works

Do we have a way how to enter decimals in ADFDi ? Since, it picks multiple separators for different attributes
