Is it expected behavior that screening requests should be canceled following a merge of a duplicate employee OR is that something that should be submitted as a bug?

We automatically perform a duplicate check after the Request for More Information is completed following the offer since at that point we have SSN & Birth date to have a solid duplicate match or not. After the duplicate profile is merged, we move them forward to the next CSP phase that determines background check eligibility. If over 18 and in the US, it automatically moves them to the phase/state that initiates a background check with HireRight.
