Can we record external learning for Future date

Summary:

Currently system doesn't allows to Submit External Learning request for Future date. Can this be requested for future date?

Business requirement is that the employees should take approval in the application before they take any external training.

But here system doesn't allow to submit a request for future dates

We tried Non Catalog Request, but we are unable to change the status to Complete post approval

Is there any workaround or solution to handle this?
