Any chance of increasing Data Integration / Data Management performance?

My client is a leading retail company in Thailand with 3000+ branches. With large combination of data intersections, importing data from FCCS and transferring data between cubes take very long time. (Sometimes take 6+ hours per period) Also sometimes an error "Essbase Error(1042017): Network error: Timed out before receiving all data." occurred. Any chance of improving performance and prevent the timeout error?
