Limitation in viewing "changed attribute" in view history of positions

We are facing an issue where the HR Admin users are not able to view the changed attribute of the DFF on the position under View History. The record says No attributes changed despite changing the value of the DFF. This is not the case when there is a change made to say department. Is this how it is working for everyone? What is the suggestion in that case to have the historical changes tracked? We are still in Responsive UI.
