How can we use Department Hierarchy in Learning Request Approval workflow

We have a requirement where we need to Level2 or Level3 Department in Learning request Approval workflow. Workflow is only giving the option of Dept Name which is Level 5 in the hierarchy. But we need to use Level2 Department Name in the Approval workflow.
