Student loan is not deducting due to insufficient wages and LGPS deduction utilizing the wages

Summary:

We have employees with involuntary deduction of student loans and post graduate loans along with LGPS pension.

when it process, it was first deducted LGPS (Pre statutory) from gross wages and then student loan. due to this there was no sufficient gross or net for Student loan deduction.

Our expectation is that student loan deduction should happen prior to LGPS and also would like to know the standard functionality of student loan vs LGPS.

Questions are:

  1. Is there any configuration which stops or holds LGPS ( Pre-statutory deduction) until student loan or post graduate loan (Involuntary deduction) to process ?
  2. Which one usually takes the preceding in UK councils (LGPS or Student loans)

Howdy, Stranger!
