OCI - How to Avoid the Prelogin Messages on SSH Session: ssh opc@x.x.x.x “\S Kernel \r on an \m"

SYMPTOMS:

When using ssh to log in to a server, the following messages are showing before password prompt.

login as: opc
Pre-authentication banner message from server:
| \S
| Kernel \r on an \m
|
End of banner message from server
opc@X.X.X.X password:

CAUSE:

Based on the sshd_config man page, the Banner directive default is none, therefore no banner is displayed.

# man sshd_config:

Banner The contents of the specified file are sent to the remote user before authentication is allowed. If the argument is none then no banner is displayed. By default, no banner is displayed.
