How to make the questions in RMI(request more info mandatory and viceversa

For the questions which are by default added to the sections, eg: Gender and Marital status which appears under the extra personal information, can we change the required option from these questions. Also is it possible to add additional questions in the same section. I am unable to locate the question in the question library. Basically, i want to change the required option from these question.
