Employment history shows incorrect update on Last Updated By field

Summary:

Hi,

Employee had a promotion done by HR Team in 2024. Later now in 2025, employee performed the action of Resignation.

Now the last updated by for Promotion record also shows the employee name which is confusing for HR:

Can someone please elaborate this behaviour, and how to correct it then because for example in this case, Promotion if it shows Last updated by as employee name than that is incorrect as employee themselves cannot perform that action for them.
