learning initiatve exclude learners with absences

Hello everyone,

We work with person criteria in the learning initiatives. Is there any way to exclude people who are currently on a long-term absence such as parental leave? Currently they are enrolled in the courses through the initiatives, which is not supposed to happen.
What is the best practice solution here to deal with learners in absence?
