How can we create a read only Hiring Manager Role

Summary:

We want to create a read only Hiring Manager role with just View access on job offers, requisitions etc.

I tried to remove the update privileges from the seeded Hiring Manager role but after assigning the custom read only role to the user, they dont see the "My Client Groups" group and thus dont see the Hiring tile.

So what exactly gives access to the my client group ..?
