Why are we forced to use Google Chrome to work with Visual Builder Studio now?

I'm curious as to why we have to use Google Chrome to make changes with VBS now. I'm finding it far more problematic than the Edge browser ever was. I keep having loading problems using Chrome or it runs out of memory.

Will we ever get back the ability to use Edge instead?
