Internal candidate unable to see submitted applications

Internal candidate has applied to one of the jobs and the job application can be seen in the job requisition (under active applications) but when the internal candidate click on submitted applications it shows that "You haven't applied to any jobs yet."

Has someone faced this issue?

Can someone please help me understand why the internal candidate is not able to see his/her submitted job applications?
