Can we Exclude specific element entry transferring to GL?

Currently we have PTO Accrual Process which we want to reverse in subsequent periods once posted.But currently once payroll entries are transferred to GL we are not be able to reverse in GL as there is no specific Journal category can be used while transferring so would like to know whether specific element entries can be excluded from posting to GL so that we can pick up that particular element entries using integration(OIC) we can load the file to post in GL in current period and reverse in next period.
