Omit absences recorded in the period to only calculate retroactive absences? from a previous period?

We have a requirement related to the handling of absences in the retroactive process, and we would like to validate the best way to configure it.
Context:

• The payroll process (Flow: Calculate Payroll) is executed for Period 1.
• After the payroll calculation, additional absences are recorded with dates within the same Period 1.
• Before calculating payroll for Period 2, the Retroactive process must be executed.
• In Period 2, the objective is to process only the retroactive absences and avoid the calculation of other elements incurred in the period.

Requirement:

We need a solution to prevent the calculation of absences recorded in the current period and process only the retroactive absences within the payroll calculation for Period 2.
