"The setup for managing tax rates and taxes doesn't necessarily need tax account code configuration. We prefer an approach where we use the auto accounting rule setup in the AR module to define constant values as tax codes for each business unit. The reason to look for an alternate solution is :-The tax liability account should be classified as a liability, but the client wants to continue defining tax codes as assets, which isn't acceptable in global tax configurations."

The system has a global configuration where the tax account codes i.e recoverable account with account type as asset and liability account with account type as liability is defined and is picked when creating AP and AR module respectively. However there is requirement to use a account code specified as asset for the liability account codes which is not possible in oracle fusion.
