25B News Feed Home Page - impact on FND_BANNER_MESSAGE capability?

Announcement: News Feed Home Page replaces the original Fusion Home Page with Panel and Banner layouts in 25B.

Just wondering if the banner capability that is controlled by profile value FND_BANNER_MESSAGE, will remain in function when the Banner Layout gets replaced in 25B.
