How do I make item description read only if it's an inventory item

How do I make the item description read only in Redwood Self Service Procurement in Visual Builder when an inventory item is selected, but allow the description to be edited if it's not an inventory item. Below is a screen shot where I tried to do this but it didn't work as expected.
