Can approval rules in BPM worklist be configured to reroute according to the Approvers' attributes?

Summary:

We have a need to reconfigure approval rules for certain transactions in BPM worklist so they automatically reroute to the Approver's +1 manager when the Approver's Assignment Status is on Leave - Payroll Eligible or Leave - LTD. This would apply to the approval requests for new positions, position changes, new job requisitions, internal movement (promote/transfer/terminate), and salary related changes.

Is it possible to look at attributes on the approver's assignment and reroute the request accordingly?
