POET details do not get populated from dropship Sales Order to Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order

When a dropship Sales order is created

1. with POET details and
2. without POET details,

In both the above cases, the corresponding PR generated do not contain the POET details from the sales order line and neither it allows the user to manually update or input the POET details on the corresponding PR. The field remains greyed out.

Is there any solution to resolve the same?

Can we use any REST API call or any other solution option to pull the POET details from the sales order line to the purchase requisition and also to the corresponding purchase order resulting from this PR?
