Creating a Custom Link with Tokens in Recruiting Content Library

Hello all!

Has anyone had success creating a custom link using tokens in the Recruiting Content Library?

Currently we have successfully created a link that works when copy and pasted into the URL, but have been unable to

1. Get the link to work successfully as a hyperlink
   1. We've successfully embedded it in the message using href= prior to 'Saving and Closing' the content item, but once it's Saved and Closed the hyperlink does not work
2. Get the hyperlink to work inside of the message

Below is an example of the working link when it's copy and pasted:
