While adding/Changing Assignment, for Department drop down can we add advance search

While adding or editing Assignment for any employee (Active/Pending/Separated), for the Department drop down, can we add Advance Search option in Responsive UI, in classic UI we have advanced search but not in Responsive UI.

We want search similar to below field in Department LOV.
