enable reminder for specific document of record approval

Requirement is to enable reminder for document of record for specific document type only.

I understand that it is not possible to have reminder setup for a specific rule within the document of record approval. We are only able to enable reminder for entire document of record approvals only. Let me know is it possible or is there any way we can enable the reminder for a specific rule ( document type) within the DOR approval, as business does not want to enable the reminder for all.
