how to turn off the expiration settings in bpm

In the BPM Worklist, I had configured expiration rules under the "Deadlines" section, setting the expiration time to 5 minutes. Although I have since deleted this configuration, the expiration settings are still taking effect. I'm unable to stop this behavior—it seems there may be a background process or delay before the changes are fully applied.
