Adding Personal Relationships should not create new person number record

Hi,

When I add a person as personal relationship on Person Management→ Person→ Contact page it creates a new record with new person number. But we do not want this to happen. We want to add the dependent details which will not occupy any person number.

Can anyone help me with how this can be achieve.
