How do we account first day of the month before 7 AM to be prior period

Summary:

We have continuous manufacturing and plant starts the day as 7 AM. So 6:59 AM would be considered as previous day.

In the month of April, any production produced on 3 AM on 6/1, we need to make sure it's costed and accounted in May period and no June Period. What setting can we achieve?

By setting up cost distribution cutoff date and set the timestamp, would it align with GL period and consider 3 AM on 6/1 still May period?

  • We have multiple plants and this cutoff time varies slightly. Some plant has 7 AM as cutoff, and some plant has 8 AM as cutoff.
  • We have turn on Legal entity timezone to be CST. How does this impact what we have set?
