Seniority Dates Schedule Process not updating the seniority dates correctly!

Summary:

Hello,

we have scheduled the calculate seniority dates process to be run every day, but it is still not updating the seniority dates until and unless we go do it manually for an employee.

Below are the parameters used:

Can someone please help me with the process and concept, Do I need to change the parameter "Past Period in Days".

Will the seniority Dates process update the seniority date only when there is a change in the assignment? and the only option to actually update it is through the manual click but that can only be done by opening an employing record and clicking on "recalculate seniority dates"
