Redwood VBCS Development : Questions that require urgent assistance

Hello Everyone,

Our project currently has two pillars in place, viz. HCM and SCM(ERP).
The Redwood VBCS Development instance for the HCM team is Dev3 and for the ERP teams is Dev5. We needed assistance in understanding the following with regard to Redwood Implementation:

Q1. Whether this format is appropriate or both the teams need to use a single instance for Redwood VBCS development?
Q2. If only one instance needs to be used by both teams, what is the ideal way to merge the customizations made using VBCS? Is it that one of the two teams, (HCM or ERP) will need to migrate their configuration from one instance to the other?
