Custom Object Date Created Reporting

Summary:

Is it possible to pull the date created field that is visible on the data card search screen of a custom object for reporting? Or alternatively, is it possible to retroactively apply the date on the CDO data card to the CDO record itself without the need to create additional update rules?

I wanted to create an insight report and include the date created but unfortunately the CDO was not created with Date Created as a field initially. I added the field so that I can hold that value now, but most records currently do not have the date stamp applied.
