Still no way to reliably run a Cube Refresh from a Groovy Business Rule?

I know it's been asked in the past but checking to see if anyone has come up with a solution.

I'd like to run a metadata update along with a cube refresh from a business rule. The problem is that the refresh won't run at all because if it detects a rule running (duh). It will run if I set the the kill active requests parameter but that also kills my running process impacting downstream activities\logging.

Has anyone come up with an alternative method?

error:

Howdy, Stranger!
