Contact Info page showing email even with 'To Date' added

We're finding that Contact Info page display an email, even if there was a "to date" added, indicating the email is no longer in use.

From Person, we can edit the email and add a "to date" and it disappears from the Person Page view, however on Contact Info it still remains visible and there is no where to see a stop date associated with it. Why would Contact info still show it and not disappear from the view like Person Page? This can be confusing to see, Contact info makes it appear like the email is still valid and active. Contact Info Redwood page is the same behavior.
