Primary Email not sent to the all audience

We have activated a campaign with 1932 contacts.
After the activation of the campaign the report showed only 845 emails sent. This morning more emails were sent and now in the report we see a total of 1765.

Checking the Primary Email Delivery Details i saw that some contact have the Email delivery Data yesterday and other today. But other does not have it.

How is the sending of emails scheduled?
Why are there still contacts to whom the email has not been sent?
