Project DFF should be NOT mandatory for inventory requisitions in RSSP

Hi Team

We have a client requirement to make project DFF mandatory for non-inventory requisitions and the project DFF should be NOT mandatory for inventory requisitions. We achieved this requirement in classic UI using sandbox personalization but as we are moving to redwood UI, we are unable to achieve this requirement VB studio.

To achieve this requirement in classic UI, we have made the project DFF field required based on item id attribute. Can anyone suggest workaround or solution for this requirement.
