Question on naming restrictions
Summary:
Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):
Hi,
Oracle has documented naming restrictions for member name/alias
But in practice, we found it's not all true. For example, forward slash is restricted in name/alias by the document, but we created member names which do have forward slash and the system does not throw any errors on database refresh. Our client has lot of names with special characters and as a best practice we are trying to persuade them avoiding using those based on the Oracle documentation. Is the documentation out of date or there have been some Oracle changes that allow these now?
