how to use 'OPERATING LEASES' in Fusion Assets and not capitalize it

We have a requirement in our project to use 'OPERATING LEASES' in Fusion Assets and not capitalize it. Used 'Operating Lease' as the Lease Classification while creating a Leased Asset under 'Manage Leases'(in Fusion Assets). However, when we try to post this line in the Asset module, the mass addition line which comes from Leases does not have the asset type as 'Expensed'. It only has 'CIP' and 'Capitalized'. Is there a reason for the system behavior to only display these 2 values and not' Expensed'. Any input on this is highly appreciated.
