Assignment data conversion from EBS to HCM Cloud

Summary:

We are currently in the process of migrating from EBS to HCM Cloud, and our system integrator (SI) has reported an issue: Payroll balances cannot be loaded when the primary employee assignments include a dash (e.g., "-x").

In EBS, anyone had similar cases where employees had multiple assignments, and were marked using a dash to indicate primary assignment. I was curious to know:

  • How were such primary assignments with dash typically converted into HCM Cloud?
  • Were there any changes required to assignment numbers/formats during the migration?
  • Did this impact payroll balances, history, or downstream processes? if any how did resolved?
