Is it Possible to restrict Attachment Format Based on Document Type? If yes, how can we Proceed?

We are looking for the possibility to restrict the attachment format for specific document type. We tried doing this using FSM task 'Manage Attachment Format Type' but it didn't work as expected because this was working on global level.

Please let me know if anyone have the solution for this.
