Position Override Freezes When Line Manager Adds Contingent Worker Outside Hierarchy in Redwood

We’re encountering an issue where a Line Manager attempts to add a Contingent Worker using the “Add a Contingent Worker” flow. If the Position selected is not aligned within the Line Manager’s hierarchy, the process reaches the Position Override page and then freezes (unresponsive).

Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or is this expected behavior due to hierarchy restrictions?
Is there a recommended workaround or configuration that would prevent the freeze and allow the transaction to proceed (e.g., error message, validation rule, or role setup)?
