HR Ops teams accidentally hires a person into the wrong Legal Entity.

HR Ops teams accidentally hires a person into the wrong Legal Entity. Then they wanted to change the legal entity details without doing the Global Transfer because the hire date will change. Is there a possibility to change the Legal Entity details without doing Global Tranfer or cancelling work relationship. Also, please suggest if the legal entity details can be corrected using HDL ?
