How to Derive CIP Account Based on Asset Category for Task-Level Asset Assignments

edited Jul 14, 2025 11:48AM in Project Management 1 comment

Summary:

We have a customer requirement in Oracle Fusion Projects where:

  • Assets are assigned at the task level.
  • Each asset belongs to a specific asset category.
  • The customer wants to derive a different CIP (Construction-in-Progress) account based on the asset category for each task-level asset assignment.

🔍 Use Case:

For example:

  • Task A has an assigned asset with category "IT Equipment" → should derive CIP account A.
  • Task B has an assigned asset with category "Medical Equipment" → should derive CIP account B.

Is there a configuration available (e.g., SLA rule, mapping set, or other methods) to dynamically derive the CIP account

Howdy, Stranger!
